Ashford Hobby was founded by a racer for racers and as such we understand the value of getting your parts to you as quickly as possible.  We strive to get orders out same day if at all possible. Ashford Hobby ships to any location in the continental US as well as Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
Ashford Hobby ships via UPS ground and air services as well as USPS, Priority mail and Priority Express mail.

How it all Works:
Available shipping options and costs will be displayed for you during your checkout and prior to completing payment.  There may be carrier restrictions on individual items in an order which will limit some shipping solutions showing on the list, such as Some Lipo batteries and flammables will require only ground options be shown.


Signature Waiver: During check out you may be ask to choose or not choose a Signature Waiver.
If you select Signature Waiver: The shipping carrier will be directed to deliver your package without a signature being required. This option is not available for orders which include HazMat items, or when the payment method is Paypal.  If you choose to waive the signature requirement, Ashford Hobby will not be able to honor any lost package claims for this order.
If you do not select Signature Waiver: You may be required to sign for your package upon delivery.
Once the order is placed you will receive a order confirmation via Email.  The next Email will be your Shipping Conformation which will contain your Tracking information.  Tracking information is also available on line by logging onto your account. 

Special Shipping programs:

$1.99 Flat Rate Shipping
$1.99 Flat Rate Shipping applies to smaller and lighter items. Some eligible items, include, repair parts, tires and more. These items are marked with the “$1.99 Flat Rate Shipping” on the product page. There is no minimum or maximum order on this program so you can order as often as you want for only $1.99.  Pretty cool, huh?  We take it one step further.  We will still offer our regular UPS and USPS services but we discount them by an additional $1.99.  This is done automatically so if you prefer Priority Mail or UPS services just chose which service and enjoy reduced shipping costs.

Free Saver Shipping
Free Saver Shipping applies to all items displaying the "Saver Shipping” on the product page or for order totaling $99.00 or more (excludes sales taxes and applied discount coupons)Orders eligible for “Free Saver Shipping” will ship via the most cost-effective shipping method to be chosen by us, usually this will be UPS Sure Post (Shipped UPS Ground but delivered via USPS locally) or ground shipping from USPS.  I know you been through this before, It may be free but it sometimes takes forever?  Once again Ashford Hobby has your back.  We will still offer our regular UPS and USPS services but we discount them by an additional amount based on the order.  This is done automatically so if you prefer Priority Mail or UPS services just chose which service and enjoy reduced shipping costs.  Pretty cool, huh? 

*Some restrictions apply: Additional shipping charges may apply to oversized boxes, excessive shipping weights and hazardous materials such as fuel or orders to addresses in Alaska or Hawaii.

In case of damaged shipments:
Sometimes bad things happen to good shipments.  If your order is damaged in transit, please contact us immediately by E-mail or phone. We will help you work out the replacement and or credit with the shipper involved. Please remember to keep all packaging (in case the shipper requires them for inspection).  Also note that it is very likely that we will request that the damaged item be returned to us for verification.

In case of lost or late shipments:
If you have not received your order, and feel your package may be lost, please contact us.   As soon as your package is determined by the shipper to be missing, we will either replace the package, or offer you a refund for the full amount of the order including shipping.

USPS time required to start a claim:
Before Ashford can begin the claim process for a lost shipment, we must allow the USPS complete the full time allotted for delivery.
Timetable for tracing lost packages:
USPS Express Mail - 10 business days from the day the order was shipped
USPS Priority Mail - 14 business days from the day the order was shipped
USPS First Class Mail - 21 business days from the day the order was shipped

UPS time required to start a claim:
In order to be considered lost, a package must be undelivered 24 hours after the expected delivery date and time. A report cannot be made until then. Please allow additional time when a package is delayed due to adverse weather.  If you have still not received your shipment please contact us immediately by email or phone.  UPS will conduct a complete investigation to locate the package. The investigation may include a search of their shipping system and operation centers, or calls to recipients or shippers.  This may take several days.  If UPS is unable to locate the missing package, a Damage/Loss Notification claim letter will be mailed or faxed to the Ashford Hobby.  Once a claim has been approved, we will contact you and offer to replace the shipment or credit you back for the shipment including shipping.

Note:  opening a PayPal claim against the lost order further delay the process.
